Ductless Mini-Split Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
“What is it?,” you ask.
Ductless mini-splits provide cooling and heating in the same unit, which hangs on the wall. The compressor is located outside the building. To cool, they move the heat out of the building just the way an air conditioner does. When it gets cold and you want to get heat from the unit, it reverses to pull heat out from the outside air and pump it back into the building.
They are easy to have installed as they are typically mounted on the wall. They have a compressor that is installed outside and the cooling/heating unit inside. They are quieter and more efficient than window A/C units and much more efficient than electric baseboard heating.
