If you are looking to save on your electricity bill, Self-Reliance’s new Community Shared Solar Power Program is for you! In this new program, members* will save 15% on electricity, benefiting from a large solar system installed by our developer partners.
Join our community shared solar power program with an introductory $12 annual membership due at signing and lock in your discount for the one-year agreement.
Once you are matched with a local solar installation, electricity is delivered to your home the same way it is today, only now you’re supporting solar energy generation in your community.
You’ll pay Self-Reliance each month, at a discount, for production from the community solar installation and will receive a credit on your electricity bill for your share of the solar production.
You’ll receive two bills each month so that you can track your savings over time. One will be your normal electricity statement from Eversource with the solar credits applied and the other will come from Self-Reliance for your monthly payment.
Whether you live in a condo, apartment or house, you can now support solar without needing a south facing roof and the upfront investment to install a system to let the sun power your home.
Annual savings range from $67 to $304 depending on the plan you choose!

*Currently welcoming residents and businesses with an electric account in Eversource’s SE territory. Additional annual membership fee applies to this program. $12 is a special introductory rate, subject to change in future years.
