Teacher Training

Through Teacher Training, Self-Reliance staff can help you integrate more energy and sustainability concepts into your curriculum by developing customized training to meet your needs.

We are available to come into the classroom or conduct workshops at our classroom. We offer full-day workshops for in-service days, evening and after-school workshops. If you are in need of professional development points (PDPs) we can structure a course to offer them-depending upon credit hours and content covered.

We are able to work with you on becoming more comfortable teaching about the intricacies of general energy concepts, climate change, renewable energy, green building and how to get kids excited about learning these topics. We offer KIDWind training, Junior Solar Sprint, Climate Change Backpack, as well as many other customized programs.
