Clean Energy Community Challenge
The Clean Energy Community Challenge is designed to help you and your neighbors save money on home heating and cooling through efficient and reliable technologies like ductless mini-splits, photovoltaic (solar electric) systems and heat pump water heaters.
“It’s a Challenge?” Yes! Members will receive an additional rebate at the end of the program when certain numbers of installations of each technology are completed – the more installations, the bigger your rebate. So it pays to tell your friends and neighbors – help us spread the word!
“How does this work?”
- Signing up is easy! Contact the Self-Reliance office either by phone (508-563-6633) or via e-mail to give us your name, address, telephone number.
- Our local installation partner will contact you to do a site visit. Site visits will be bundled by geographic area to save on time and fuel, but you should have a visit (if necessary) within 2 weeks.
- The local installation partner will provide you with a proposal including any costs (extra pipe run, additional electrical) above the base price. You must sign and return this proposal to set an installation date.
- Once the installation is complete, our installation partner will help you complete any rebate and incentive paperwork needed.
- We will check in with you during the process to see if you have any questions.
